Hi! My name is Frank Carrubba. I started in the sewing machine business over 40 years ago and during this time I have sold and serviced a wide variety of makes and models of sewing machines. I loved the business so much as a young man, I decided to buy my own store. One day my daughter Teresa came to help me out, she enjoyed the business so much she wanted to stay all the time. Now my daughter has been my partner for the last 27 years. Now with her experience and expertise in this business, we are busier than ever. Teresa loves to do sewing shows, she loves to demonstrate quality products, and especially products she believes in. Teresa loves to meet fabulous customers. We give fantastic after sales service by offering a limited in-store warranty and unlimited lessons on purchased machines; new or used! Over 2 years ago she hired a wonderful and talented employee who specializes in alterations of all kinds, she can fix minor problems in machines, and she teaches most of our classes professionally. Jacqueline started expert alterations while you wait. Every kind of alteration can be done in our store. Teresa also opened the Toronto School Of Sewing, where small class size is a must. All levels of instruction are given. We also teach one on one, example projects, home decor, men's clothing, and so much more.. Jacqueline" My name is Jacqueline, Alteration Manager and Teacher for Sewing World. I have been sewing for over 25 years and still LOVE what I do. My experience is in tailoring, alterations, dress making, upholstery, drapery, and so much more. I must say, Sewing for me is an art! I find that there is nothing you can't create with a sewing machine. I have variable techniques that I have successfully created on my own spare time. I realized that sewing became my passion over the years and I ended up having a creative flare for it. I have also learned to do minor machine repairs and developed knowledge of knowing any machine without the help of an instruction manual. When it comes to technical work, I am a natural! I specialize in private one on one teaching of any sewing projects. I will also help you find the most suitable machine for your sewing needs at the best possible price. Hope to meet you soon. |

Christina: Hi my name is Christina and I am software specialist here at Sewing World. I started helping my grandfather when I was only 11 years of age, and after all my years growing up, I realized that working in retail was what I enjoy best. It fits my personality because I consider myself outgoing and I enjoy meeting new people every day. I love teaching different kinds of software that is on the market and I suppose I can say that I'm knowledgeable with how to work any computerized sewing machine and find them fun to work with. It is amazing how far sewing machines have come, and the fact that you can find any type of design and transfer it right to the machine is truly amazing. Every sewers dream! Diane Foot Tayor: My name is Diane, I have been teaching sewing at Sewing World for almost 2 years. I fell in love with fabric and sewing when my grandmother, the hat maker, gave me fabric to play with. My goal is to share my passion for sewing with my students. When I am not teaching, I am designing and making hats and purses.
